I didn’t plan a career in interiors. I studied and worked in fashion design, but fast fashion never felt right to me: everything looked the same, and nothing was made to last. I later worked in quality control for a lifestyle brand, checking furniture and homeware before it reached the shop floor. Somewhere along the way, I realised it was the spaces I cared about, not the products. I started renovating my own homes, shared the progress on Instagram, and that’s how Leesea began.

My style is quiet and warm: off-whites, lots of texture, layered lighting and natural materials, combining old and new. I want rooms that feel balanced and easy to live in, every day.

I grew up in South Africa and have called England home since 2006, so I bring a little of both to my work: the warmth and light of South Africa, and a British love of quality and craft. I’m also a mum of two, so I know a home has to work for real life, not just look good in photos.
